The German Aerospace Centre is constructing a multi-storey administration building at its site in Cologne-Porz. The new building comprises a usable floor space of approx. 9,300 m² and offers 450 employees a new, innovative workplace. The building will house an archive, a print shop and a photo laboratory.
When planning the new building, the architects from Kister Scheithauer gross Architekten und Stadtplaner GmbH placed particular emphasis on sustainable energy optimization with the inclusion of regenerative energy systems.
The aim is to create an ecologically and economically efficient building that offers its users a high degree of functionality. In order to underline the sustainability quality of the building, the BNB certificate is being sought for the new building.
The building is being constructed with federal and state funding.
We have been accompanying the project since the planning phase of the administration building.
